Mrs. Constance P. Davis

With great sadness the family of Constance Peacock Davis, 75, announces her death on Thursday, March 7, 2024. She was surrounded by the people she loved most. Born on September 14, 1948 in Malone, NY, she was the daughter of Richard and Madora (LaBarre) Peacock. Connie attended Chateaugay Central School, where she met the love of her life, Ronnie Davis, at her locker # 123. Connie and Ronnie married two years after graduation and she went on to pursue a career in school administration in Chateaugay, Adams, and Bath, NY. Upon returning to the North Country, she and Ronnie became co-owners of a boutique cheese plant, (Plumbrook Amish Farms) in Norfolk, NY. Connie and Ronnie raised two amazing children, Matthew and Lizzie, who were their greatest pride and joy. Coming full circle, Connie and Ronnie returned to Chateaugay in the late 90’s where she finished her career as an administrative assistant at Holy Family School in Malone. In 2012 they happily retired and moved to Cape Coral, Florida. Connie loved camping, spending time at the beach, traveling, golf, history and sitting by the pool watching her grandsons swim. Above all, she enjoyed a great book and hot cup of coffee. An avid reader, she was a board member of the Chateaugay Memorial Library. She and Ronnie were both very active in the Chateaugay Revitalization Committee and participated in various Chateaugay festivals. Also, an amazing artist, her preferred mediums were charcoal, pastels and acrylics. Her family have many cherished pieces of her artwork. Connie is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth (Aaron) Firman, and their children, Matthew and Miles of Auburn, WA; she also leaves behind her sisters, Sally (Walter) Farrell of Merrill, NY; Judy (Michael) Curtin of Queensbury, NY; brothers, Gary (Barbara) Peacock of Morrisonville, NY; Robert (Pam Poindexter) Peacock of Wellfleet, MA; as well as stepfather, Ken Cheyne of Chateaugay NY. She is also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews, Jessica (Patrick) Tryon, Christopher (Maria Barnes) Farrell, Graham Curtin, Mary Curtin, Madora Curtin, Valerie (RJ Puntoni) Peacock and Ben (Renee) Peacock; Great nieces and nephews and we mean GREAT!, Jaiden Farrell, Julien & Jamison Puntoni and Grace Peacock. Connie is predeceased by her husband, Ronnie , her son, Matthew Davis; her parents, Richard and Madora Peacock. Calling hours will be held at the Chateaugay Funeral Home on Friday, March 15, 2024 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Notre Dame Church, Malone on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at noon. Burial will be held in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Chateaugay. In lieu of flowers, donations in Connie’s memory may be made to the Chateaugay Public Library or the Chateaugay Revitalization Committee.
