Mrs. Esther Elaine Trombley

Esther Elaine Trombley, 88, formerly of Ellenburg Center and Breezy Acres in Ellenburg passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2016 under the tender care of the Clinton County Nursing Home. She was born in Ellenburg Center on December 5, 1927, the daughter of William Miller and Isabelle Trombley. She attended Ellenburg Central School. On June 18, 1949, she married Richard H. Trombley at St. Edmund's Church in Ellenburg. He passed away after 49 years of marriage on December 31, 1998. Esther married Horace Trombley on December 1, 2001 and they were married for 9 years before his passing in February of 2011. Besides her husbands, she was predeceased by her siblings, Richard, Clarence, Leon and Madora Miller; a granddaughter Tracy Lynn Trombley; one stepchild John Vreeland and a nephew Kevin Trombley. Esther is survived by three sons and a daughter; Ronald and his wife Carol of Rochester, Roger and his wife Dorothy of Ellenburg Center, Randy and his wife Julie of West Chazy and Elaine and her husband David of Ellenburg Center; surviving step children are Rose Ann Becker, Anna Dudley, Donna Madl, Gary Trombley,Mary Beth Nelson, Raymond Trombley, Michael Vreeland, and Donald Vreeland; nine grandchildren; Thomas Trombley, Melissa Tiermini, William Trombley, Roger Trombley, Benjamin Malark, Bradley Malark, Kara Tourville, and Adrian and Krista Trombley;step grandchildren,Destiny, Rhyss, Allen, and Marion Trombley, Donna Mae Klob, Brian Dudley, Eddie and Keisha Becker, George Madl, Ashley Geurtze, Natalie and Ross Vreeland and Evan Trombley; four great-granddaughters; four great-grandsons and several step-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Esther was a communicant of St. Edmund's parish and a member of the Altar and Rosary Society with a deep faith and devotion to the rosary. She was an avid reader, enjoyed cooking and making pies, listening to music and and spending time with her family. Calling hours will be held at the Chateaugay Funeral Home from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, August 29th. A Mass of Christian burial will held on Tuesday, Aug. 30 at 11 a.m. at St. Edmund's Church in Ellenburg with burial following at Riverside Cemetery in Ellenburg Center. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to St. Edmund's Church or the Ellenburg Center Fire Department.
