Mr. Ralph Edward Spinner

Ralph Edward Spinner, 61, of Westwood Dr., West Chazy died Monday, Feb. 6, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family and aided by Hospice of the North Country. Born in Malone, NY on Dec. 19, 1955, he was the son of Richard and Charlotte (Chatelle) Spinner. His first marriage was to Donna Trombley on Sept. 8, 1973 in St. Patrick’s Church, Chateaugay. She predeceased him on Dec. 18, 1997. His second marriage was to Cheryl Lipp on June 3, 2000 at Cedar Hedge Nursing Home, Plattsburgh. Ralph owned and operated Clay Meadows dairy farm in Burke for over 20 years. He was employed by the Remillard Farm in Peru for the past 15 years, retiring due to ill health. He enjoyed camping and NASCAR racing. He especially enjoyed watching his grandson Curtis race Go Karts and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 16 years and his dogs Precious and Poncho; six children Terri LaPlante and her husband, Randy of Burke, Jennifer Lamica and her husband, Christopher of Burke, Melissa Spinner of North Carolina, David Murray and his wife, Christine of Kentucky, Vicky DuBour of West Chazy, Mark DuBour of Florida; grandchildren, Andrew, Joseph, Nole and Delana LaPlante, Christa, Curtis and Emily LaMere, Rayana and Taya Anderson, Karlynn Mae Clark, Gavin, Leah, Kendesley and Kylie Murray, Crystal Proper, Tiffany Richards, Vanessa Silva and Cody Lamica; several great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Linda Young of Florida, Donna and Don McNulty of Morrisonville, Jeff and Stephanie Spinner of Malone, Chris and Cindy Spinner of Chateaugay Lake, Carl and Tammy Spinner of Malone, Brian and Missy Spinner of Burke, Joanne and Judd Slocum of Burke, Richard and Marylou Spinner of Malone. Besides his first wife, he was predeceased by his parents and a brother-in-law, Mickey Young. Calling hours will be held at the Chateaugay Funeral Home on Thursday, Feb. 9 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 10 in St. George’s Church, Burke with Rev. Thomas Kornmeyer officiating. A reception will be held at the Burke Fire Station at 12:30 p.m. following Mass. Spring burial will take place at Burke Center Cemetery. Donations in his memory may be made to Hospice of the North Country.
