Mrs. Tina Lynn Ashline

Tina Lynn Ashline, 65, of Constable died Saturday, April 4, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family and under the care of Hospice of the North Country. Born on August 26, 1960, in Biloxi, MS, she was the daughter of Richard C. McNamara and Shirley (Gallagher) Sumpter. She was married to Lawrence R. Ashline on September 29, 1984, in Morristown, NY. Tina graduated from Westwood High School, Mesa AZ in 1978 and from SUNY Canton in 1982. She was employed by the New York State Department of Corrections in various facilities including Ogdensburg, Franklin, Bare Hill and Upstate Correctional Facilities. She retired as principal clerk of personnel in 2015 after 33 years of service. She was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church, Constable where she taught Sunday religion school. She was a member of American Legion Post 24 in Tombstone, AZ. Tina enjoyed traveling across the country to Arizona with her husband, Larry and dog, Bella to spend the winter with her family. She loved to go to Maine to the ocean and touring through New England. She also enjoyed spending time at the lot and camper at Chateaugay Lake with family and friends and their camp on Leonard Pond. She loved hiking the Adirondack mountains with Bella and her friend, Nancy. She loved her morning coffee and phone conversations with her family. She also enjoyed working around the house in her flower gardens, being outdoors, exercising and staying active. Tina loved spoiling her grandchildren and spending time with them. She is survived by her husband, Larry of 41 years; two sons, Nicholas (Teri Deyo) Ashline of Plattsburgh, Joshua (Kayla) Ashline of Malone; her mother, Shirley (Wayne) Sumpter of Mesa, AZ; siblings, Mark McNamara of Plattsburgh, Carrie McNamara of Mesa, AZ, Dean McNamara of Mesa, AZ, Diane (Jeff) McNamara of Sharon, VT; eight grandchildren, Bay, Piper, Lincoln, Harper and Spencer Ashline, Hope Jaquish, Ryan Poupore, Marissa Demers; three great-grandchildren, Kaley and Savannah Demers and Maleah Burke; stepchildren, Chad Ashline of Seattle, WA, Cheryl (Richard) Dumas of Chateaugay; sister-in-law, Cindy Dowd of Chateaugay Lake as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Richard McNamara; two brothers-in-law, Karl and Hulcy Ashline; sister-in-law, Shirley Jones; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Margaret and Bernard Moore. Calling hours will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Constable on Thursday, April 9 from 11 am to 12 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will immediately follow at 12 pm. Burial will take place at the Brainardsville Cemetery. Following the burial, a reception will be held at the Chateaugay American Legion Post 875. Donations in her memory may be made to Hospice of the North Country.
