Mrs. Barbara Ina Poupore

May 29, 1952 - June 6, 2016

Barbara Ina Poupore, 64, of Churubusco, NY, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on June 6, 2016 after her short battle with cancer. Barbara was born on May 29, 1952 and was the daughter of Lena and John Peryea of Ellenburg Depot, NY. On June 6, 1970, Barbara was married to Wayne Poupore at St. Edmund's Church in Ellenburg Depot, NY. Barb and Wayne lived in Churubusco where they built their lives together. Barbara and Wayne started a family which consisted of two children, Todd Poupore and his significant other, Kim Chilton of Ellenburg Depot, a daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Troy Dowd of Merrill, NY. Barbara is also survived by her four beautiful grandchildren, Cameron Poupore and Bailey Dowd of Merrill, NY and Dustin and Katera Poupore of Ellenburg Depot, NY. Barbara was employed for 31 years at Northern Adirondack Central School. Anybody who knew Barb got to hear her many bus stories. Anyone who knew her also knew she had a huge passion and that was her horses. She beamed with so much pride when it came to her horses. At the request of Barbara, there will be no services or calling hours. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to Hospice of the North Country.
