Mr. Harold J. LaDuke

October 28, 1940 - January 29, 2020

Harold J. LaDuke, 79, of Chateaugay, died Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at CVPH Medical Center, Plattsburgh. Born on October 28, 1940 in Standish, NY, he was the son of Arthur and Beulah (Patnode) LaDuke. Harold graduated from Lyon Mountain. In his early years, he was employed by Oliver Ford and MP Myers and later worked as a maintenance supervisor at Chateaugay Central School for over 20 years before retiring in 2009. Harold is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Stone and her husband, Todd of West Chazy; three grandchildren, Felicity Sanger and Natalie and Gavin Stone; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Shirley and Tom McKenna of Potsdam, Beverly Gannon of Plattsburgh, Evelyn and Arthur McCormick of Chateaugay; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; a brother, Arthur E. LaDuke; a brother-in-law, John Gannon; and a great-niece, Reagan Cassidy. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Bernard’s Church, Lyon Mountain on Friday, January 31, 2020 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Ted Crosby officiating. Spring burial will be held at St. Bernard’s Cemetery, Lyon Mountain. Donations in Harold’s memory may be made to St. Bernard’s Church.
