Kenneth L. Fall, "Kenny", 78 of the Earlville Rd., Chateaugay passed away peacefully Friday, January 29 at his home, following a long battle with cancer. Born in Chateaugay, NY on June 21, 1937, he was the son of Raymond and Bessie (Rushford) Fall. On December 27, 1960, Kenny married Kay Earl in Chateaugay, NY.. Kenny began working at a young age on several of the local dairy farms, then moved on to Burke to the Burke Stone Quarry, St. Lawrence Seaway and M.E. Myers Power Co. In October of 1960 he was drafted into the United States Army, where he served with the 16th Artillery at Fort Lewis, Washington. He was honorably discharged in October of 1962 and returned to Chateaugay and was employed by McCadam Cheese Co. from 1962 to 1968. In 1968 he went to work for New York State Department of Conservation, at the Chateaugay Fish Hatchery, retiring after 33 years of service. However, throughout his entire work-life he always maintained his "Second job" of carpentry. He was a member of Chateaugay American Legion Post #875 , past member of Free and Accepted Masons Frontier Lodge #517. Kenny enjoyed visiting with family and friends, working in his vegetable garden, Christmas tree farm, and hunting. Kenny is survived by his wife of 55 years; a daughter, Terri (Fall) Chase and her husband Stephen of Essex Junction, VT; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Shirley Cook , Nancy and Jim Palmer, and Michelle and Marvin Montgomery all of Chateaugay; three sisters-in-law Jean Fall, Judy Earl, Carol Wood all of Chateaugay; brother-in-law Hamilton (Hammy) Wood of Chateaugay and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; three brothers, Robert (Bob) R. Fall, W. Carl Fall, and Gary J. Fall and twobrothers-in-law, Neil B. Cook and James (Jimmie) K. Earl. Calling hours will be Monday, February 1, at the Chateaugay Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, Feb.2, at 11 am in the Chateaugay United Methodist Church with Rev. Marty Connor officiating. There will be a reception following at Chateaugay American Legion. Committal prayers will take place at Eastside Cemetery, Chateaugay in the spring. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of the North Country.
