Ms. Nancy L. Johnston Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Nancy L. Johnston, 59, of Chateaugay, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at Canton-Potsdam Hospital. Born on January 19, 1963 in Plattsburgh, NY, she was the daughter of Gaston G. and Vivian (Matthews) Yelle. Nancy was married to William (Billy) Johnston on June 21, 1985 in St. Patrick’s Church, Chateaugay. She graduated from Chateaugay Central School. She work at Mold-Right in Plattsburgh, NY. Nancy enjoying going to the casino and playing bingo. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Nancy is survived by her daughter, Mandie Patterson and her husband, Arron of Chateaugay; a son, Marc Johnston and his wife, Kristy of Chateaugay; her former husband, Billy Johnston of Burke; seven grandchildren, Jezlyn, Mason and Mavrick Johnston, Carli Stiab, Torie, Eli and Mackenzie Patterson; two sisters, Ona Rushford of Chateaugay and JoAnne Yelle of Rochester; a brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Helen Yelle of Chateaugay; a daughter-in-law, Candi Johnston of Chateaugay; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and a son, Matthew Johnston. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Church, Chateaugay on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at 11 a.m. Burial will be held in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Chateaugay.
