Mrs. Pamela Anne Milne Crane

September 4, 1953 - March 17, 2022

Pamela Anne (Milne) Crane, 68, of Saranac Lake, NY passed away on March 17, 2022 unexpectedly at her home. She was born in Plattsburgh, NY on September 4, 1953, the daughter of James C. and Mary E. (Wood) Milne. Pam grew up in Brainardsville, NY, the oldest of seven children. She graduated from Chateaugay Central School in 1971. During her years in high school, she was very active in the Art Club. Art was her life, she would say her artistic talent came naturally, "I was born with it". Pam shared her passion for art with her family especially her nieces and nephews. After high school she attended The Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. Then returned back to the North Country and continued art studies at North Country Community College. After graduation she stayed on to settle in Saranac Lake. She loved all the mountains, lakes and scenery that Saranac Lake has to offer. She would spend most days hiking and enjoying the peacefulness of nature. Another love was her volunteering for the Saranac Lake Winter Carnival - her face would light up especially when she spoke of the ice castle. Pam impacted many lives of troubled children and those with disabilities by introducing them to art as an outlet for their emotions. Pam was loved more than she will ever know! Left to cherish her memory is her mother, Mary E. (Wood) Milne; her sisters, Monica (Milne) O'Neill and her husband Timothy O'Neill of North Myrtle Beach, SC, Anne (Milne) Brown and her companion Aaron Bessant of Wixom, MI, Sue (Milne) Rocque and her husband Kevin Rocque of Chazy Lake, NY, Mary Kay Milne and her companion James Parnell of Lyon Mountain, NY, Eva (Milne) Durnin and her husband William Durnin, Jr. of Lyon Mountain, NY; nieces Jamie Elizabeth of Peru, NY, Nicole (Durnin) Russell and husband Cody Russell of Saranac, NY, Taylor Durnin and companion Peter Patterson of Malone, NY; nephew Eugene Harris of Lyon Mountain, NY; great niece Logan Ecker of Peru, NY and great nephew Ian Ecker of Peru, NY. She was predeceased by her father, James C. Milne, Sr. and brother James C. Milne, Jr. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, March 23rd from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Chateaugay Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1:00pm at St. Patrick's Church, Chateaugay. In lieu of flowers, donations in Pam's memory may be made to the Saranac Lake Winter Carnival.
